Tannicorn Styles It

Tartanic

Yes! My first outfit post, post baby! Finding the time is a little tricky with a newborn, but thanks to my amazing husband he was able to wear Nova (in our new Tula baby carrier) and snap these shots out in the snow today. I think we’ve gone from 1-2 snow days a year to about 6 this year and at first it was really exciting, but now it’s just cold and troublesome.  Hmmm, the ‘new’ mother in me just sees all the hazards now like  carrying a baby across icy footpaths and driving on black ice roads. Can’t wait for summer, when I can worry about bumble bees sunburn.

Coat | Vintage Mohair from the Sallies on Princess St. Dunedin
Earrings | 90s wooden parrots from Finders Keepers
Hat | Vintage fake fur from Two Squirrels Vintage

Brooch | Cat face handmade by Needlebot Monsters
Brooch 2 | 90s wooden tribal face from Restore

Dunedin is a great place to find tartan goodies as well as anything mohair. I scored this purple tartan mohair coat from the Sallies and was stoked that it was a size up which is crucial to fitting layers of winter warmies underneath.

Anyways, i’m off to the NZ International Film Festival to watch the doco Iris. OMG she is the most inspirational fashionista at 90 something years old! See more about the doco here: http://www.nziff.co.nz/2015/dunedin/iris/
