Yes! My first outfit post, post baby! Finding the time is a little tricky with a newborn, but thanks to my amazing husband he was able to wear Nova (in our new Tula baby carrier) and snap these shots out in the snow today. I think we’ve gone from 1-2 snow days a year to about 6 this year and at first it was really exciting, but now it’s just cold and troublesome. Hmmm, the ‘new’ mother in me just sees all the hazards now like
Woohoo, it’s been another great ID Dunedin Fashion Week! Every year I try to out-do the previous outfit i’ve worn to the Friday Show, making sure I represent vintage and locally handmade feature pieces. This year I teamed up with Sarah from Mean Streak Vintage in Auckland. She creates these amazing dramatic headpieces and I knew I had to have one for IDFW! Sarah is open to inquiries about making custom pieces (music to my ears) and after an enthusiastic yes to making a collab crown, I sent her photos of my dress fabric. I was pretty blown away after seeing
Incase you haven’t heard, it’s iD Dunedin fashion Week, and I’m capturing event and street style as part of iD Media! I’m also sharing as many of my my own looks this week with the aim to shine a spotlight on vintage and inject more colour into the crowds.
I’ve never been to the
I never wear white, probably because growing up I was always climbing trees and rolling around with our pigs in the paddock (especially after a litter of piglets were born). We soon learned that any white clothing would return home a shade of green or brown, so it was pretty much banned from my wardrobe.
I scored this whimsical 90s mermaid print dress from my friends shop Fox Brownie Retro on a recent trip to Wellington. Inga was always very supportive of Most Wanted Vintage when it was in Aro Valley and it was cool to have the roles switched where I was the customer shopping for gems in her lovingly handpicked vintage clothing shop. She also sells her own designer label Recidivist in store too along with
Currently 5 months preggers, Iv’e been growing out of everything I own at quite a rapid pace. This has led me to wearing the same dress over and over which drives me crazy! I’d heard stories about this happening, resorting to that same comfy item that resembles a sack, but didn’t think it would happen to me, especially with the
Woohoo, double the celebration tonight as we have reached the halfway mark with Bugsy in the belly and it’s my Aunty’s 60th Birthday, so were off for a fancy meal at No 7 Balmac. I thought I’d wear this gorgeous purple tie dye velvet dress with much growing room for the bump and along with the already decided dishes I’m going to order at the restaurant. What some fashion photographers may encounter is

WORKING AT THE CUCKOO’S NEST – ETHICAL BOUTIQUE
I loved working here, where I was encouraged to run free with my creativity to put together shop displays and window outfits. It felt great to work for an ethical business, with great staff, supporting locally handmade jewellery, crafts, clothing, up-cycling and vintage wares. I wish more
Woohoo, it’s the holidays! Growing up we always wore our absolute favourite outfits on Christmas day. Sometimes it was the same snazzy outfit that we wore to our school disco, like our much loved frilly, fluro tiered skirts with matching tank tops from D.E.K.A. After much thought and excitement put into our outfits, we usually just spent the day stripped off in our
